As Reported in the June edition of e-North – Strong Demand for Strata Offices.
The growth of Whittlesea is having a positive effective on local strata office sales, according to Colliers International.
According to its latest report, Whittlesea was Australia’s top building and population hotspot in 2009/10 with more than $660 million worth of residential building work approved and a population growth rate of 21.8%
This has resulted in strong demand for strata offices in the North as people want to work locally.
Developments such as 40 Burgundy St, Heidelberg will be offering ground floor retail and four levels of residential apartments, as well as one whole floor of strata offices.
The strata office component features 23 suites across a total floor space of 2000 sq m, which has sold out well before construction completion in August.
Sale prices for the office suites averaged about $310,000, or a rate of $4,500 per sq m, including car parking.
