SOUTH Morang’s chic Mason Point development is luring apartment dwellers from the CBD.
As the popularity of easy living increases, people are looking for a low-maintenance lifestyle close to amenities without being surrounded by high rises. Bank manager, Mark Couche gave up his rental apartment in Bourke St in the CBD in favour of one at Mason Point. Mr Couche also moved to South Morang to be closer to family and friends and is delighted with his new two-bedroom apartment. He loves the location, which is about 200m from Westfield Shopping Centre, less than 1km from the train station and near the freeway off Plenty Rd.
“As a single person, I also appreciate having eateries at my doorstep, particularly the Armanii Cafe, which is just below my apartment,” he said. Mr. Couche also enjoys living in his new home, which is fresh and bright with a quality fitout. The trend is attracting enough interest that Mason Point developer Gibroc Corporation has started to run special rental open days for prospective tenants.
Development Manager Blanco Norton said “when Mason Point as completed, it will have more than 200 apartments and 100 townhouses, a medical centre, café, pizza restaurant and a childcare centre; ideal for singles, couples and young families wanting to be close to shops and transport.
A rental open day will be held on Saturday, September 10, from 11am to 3pm at Mason Point. Apartments and townhouses will be offered for rent priced from $335 to more than $400 a week”.
Mason Point is at the corner of Bush Blvd and Oleander Drive.
