Up to 3000 homes and businesses in South Morang will have access to high speed broadband from November as part of the National Broadband Network.

Next year, fibre will be installed in Mill Park and during the next 3 years it is anticipated that about 39,000 homes and businesses will be connected to optic fibre as the project continues to be rolled out across Epping, Whittlesea, Eden Park, Kinglake West and Woodstock.

Whittlesea Council and partners have applied for Federal and State Government programs to support the building of telecommunications infrastructure including: the Digital Hubs, Digital Enterprise, Digital Local Government, Suburban Jobs and regional RDA programs.

Notification of these funding programs will happen progressively during the next 2 months.
