Merrifield – Victoria’s largest master planned development at Mickleham – has enjoyed solid sales since its launch in June.

MAB Corporation General Manager Luke Noonan said new home buyers have been attracted to the vision for Merrifield.

“We are planning a truly sustainable community – new jobs and homes linked to high quality infrastructure, such as schools, childcare, retail, sporting facilities and community services,” said Mr Noonan.

Once complete, Merrifield will encompass 4,000 homes and a business park which has the potential to create up to 20,000 new jobs.  At the heart of the project is the Merrifield City Centre which is the new commercial centre for the growing northern corridor.

“Merrifield is new 21st century city for Melbourne’s north,” said Mr Noonan.

The latest land release at Merrifield – Yarradale – is 50 per cent sold in just two weeks.

“Our latest release offers plenty of choice,” said Mr Noonan. “It has been particularly appealing to buyers looking for large park frontage lots.”

The Yarradale release includes lots from 224sqm to 956sqm, starting from $110,000.

“First home buyers have been drawn to the great value for money on offer,” said Mr Noonan. “With the Government’s first home owners’ bonus and stamp duty savings, we are receiving plenty of enquiries from those looking to build the first new home.”

The key feature of the Yarradale release is the local neighbourhood park with state-of-the-art play equipment, kick-about area and modern seating and shelters.

“It will be an ideal perfect spot for families to enjoy right across the road from their new home,” said Mr Noonan.
