Dulux is set to build a $165 million facility in the master planned mixed use Merrifield development at Mickleham.

Dulux will be building a cutting edge waterbased paint facility in the Merrifield Business Park, expected to create over 200 jobs during construction and a further 64 ongoing full-time positions.

DuluxGroup managing director Patrick Houlihan said it was an important investment that would set up the business for decades to come.

Construction of Merrifield living is under way, with stage five titles due this month. The new mixed-use city spanning 770ha will include 4000 homes, wetlands and a retail precinct, along with a substantial 300ha business park.

The site is aligned with the MAB 24-hour City philosophy, offering residents and businesses an integrated and sufficient community.

Dulux is the first business to purchase land within Stage 1 of the Business Park precinct offering 60ha of land for sale or lease, across a range of sizes from 1ha upwards.
